Kaeng Pha Dai is located at Moo.4, Bann Huay Luek, Muang Yai Sub-district, Wiang Kaen District, Chiang Rai Province. It is 14 kilometers far from downtown to the east. This is the important tourist site of Muang Yai Sub-district which occupies 17 rai of area. The public park is among the beautiful nature, especially in November-May which the water is low so the rocks covering with plants show off from the river are visible coupled with the fresh air. From this spot, The Lao People's Democratic Republic is in the opposite side of the Khong River. Apart from sand, this islet consists of small rocks which are the source of Kai, as same as the islet under the water. The sand beach is the place for the birds to wash themselves. The stone pillar is standing in the Khong River emerged from the deposition of river sediment, therefore, there are lots of Leafflower (Krai Hang Nak). A cliff in the Khong River sinks in th water in rainly season and show off in dry season. The scnery is very attractive so Thai and foresign tourists sailing to enjoy the beauty of the Khong River. Those who go to Phu Chi Fa and Pha Tung always drop by Kaeng Pha Dai as well.
