Description
This one-floor 34-meter high waterfall among the valley is very stunning. It has water throughout the year. Jok Kradin is Myanmar language, slightly altered from “Kok Kradan”. Jok or Kok means rock, and Kradin or Kradan means a waterfall. Therefore, it means the waterfall that flows through the rocks. Its origin is from I-Pu mountain which is in the mine area where tungsten flows across the village. It is 5-kilometer long and 727 meter above sea mean level. The water in the pond is in beautiful navy blue which the deepest point, 3-4 meters, is in the middle.
History
The water from the one-floor Jok Kradin waterfall spout from the mountain pass, at 30-meter high, and flows to the below large emerald pond. There is the grit yard that looks like the sand beach in the middle of the valley. The water is cold and the pond is shallow so it is safe for tourist to swim. Water level in dry season is quite low whereas it is very harsh in rainy season.
